This clean, well-equipped 29 Foot Blackfin Flybridge Sportfisher that calls the IGY Marina in Cabo San Lucas home. Considered by many to be the most solidly built and best designed offshore fishing boats, Blackfin's are not cheap boats. In fact, they may be the highest priced sportfisher's in the 21 to 38 foot range. Top quality comes with a price and these boats are well designed and built to last. Manufactured in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, you won't find many in Cabo San Lucas. When you do, they're usually booked solid by anglers who know a good thing when they see one. With 52 square feet of cockpit space, they don't lack room to maneuver while fighting fish stand up. A fighting chair is fitted center cockpit for those that prefer to do battle while firmly planted on their butts.
Heavier and set lower in the water than just about any boat her size, El Bandito provides a dry ride while remaining extremely agile. That agility that makes them well-suited to fishing run and gun style – often called for in the waters off Los Cabos. Headroom inside the cabin is an impressive 6 1/2 feet with a V-berth for taking a nap, a comfortable dinette, plus head starboard. Up on top, the flybridge has room for five adults – taking in the sites while running at speed is quite comfortable. Blackfin's are known for "raising" fish by virtue of their solid hulls. No foam core here… and that's why some folks say these hulls "sing" to fish. Couple that with a relatively flat wake and the lures you troll or baits you cast to are easily visible to feeding fish which makes for more strikes, and more fish. She's also quite fast with a cruising speed of 25 knots made possible by a pair of diesel engines. It's easy to see why Blackfin's are such sought after boats. We hope to see you aboard.
Fishing in Cabo offers the opportunity to experience world-class fishing in a place that's long been called The Marlin Capital of the World with good reason. The fact is, more marlin are caught in the waters off Los Cabos than just about anywhere on earth! The best part is that our year-round fishery means there really isn't a bad time to come fishing in Cabo. Truth be told, it's always a good time to fish here!

About the Captain
Born and raised in Southern Baja, Mexico, English-speaking Captain Martin has been a fisherman his entire life. His experience as a charter Captain goes back decades - he's going on his 30th year as a professional charter fisherman here in Cabo. His career in sport fishing began in 1984 as a deckhand for the Pisces Sportfishing fleet. His biggest tuna, a bruiser that tipped the scales at 305lbs, was taken aboard the boat Andrea, which was part of the Pisces fleet. Captain Martin also worked with another long established Cabo based charter company, the Gaviota Fleet. As a deckhand aboard one of their boats, Martin helped land an 858lb Blue Marlin... the largest billfish of his career and a fish that often comes only once in a lifetime. His many years of experience learning all the techniques that play a critical role in successful fishing in Los Cabos led to many offers for a Captain's position.
