Daily weekly charters in Cabo San Lucas

Question 1

What is a private weekly boat charter?

Accepted Answer

A private weekly charter allows you to experience ultimate freedom with an extended multi-day cruise in Cabo San Lucas. Perfect for island-hopping and coastal exploration, a weekly charter allows your party to live onboard while anchoring in secluded bays each night and discovering premium destinations without any time constraints.

Question 2

Are weekly boat charters available with captain and crew?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Most weekly charters in Cabo San Lucas offer professional crews, ranging from a skipper-only setup to a full complement including a captain, chef, and hostess. This fully managed option eliminates the friction of navigation, mooring, and meal preparation. Review individual boat listings to choose between a basic captain package or a fully crewed, all-inclusive luxury itinerary.

Question 3

Can we rent a yacht for a week without a captain?

Accepted Answer

Self-drive weekly rentals are available across our Cabo San Lucas fleet for experienced boaters. Port authority laws require a valid international marine license and safety layout verification upon booking. If you do not possess these credentials or prefer a hands-free vacation, simply add a certified captain to any weekly listing.

Question 4

What is included in a weekly yacht charter?

Accepted Answer

A weekly charter in Cabo San Lucas typically includes the vessel rental, safety equipment, and standard marine insurance. Operational costs such as fuel, port fees, crew provisioning, and food are billed transparently through an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA). Check the individual yacht listing for exact fee structures.

Question 5

What extra costs should we expect on a weekly boat charter?

Accepted Answer

On a weekly charter, expect extra costs including fuel consumption, marina mooring fees, local tourist taxes, final cleaning and custom food provisioning. Crew gratuities, typically 10 to 20 percent of the charter fee, are also customary for excellent service. These out-of-pocket expenses are paid via the APA. Review the boat profile to see precise destination fee estimates.

Question 6

Is a weekly boat charter good for families?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. A weekly private charter in Cabo San Lucas is the ultimate family vacation. Stable luxury catamarans and motor yachts are highly recommended, offering spacious multi-cabin layouts, shaded living areas, and clean private restrooms. To ensure total peace of mind for parents, our family-friendly fleets provide certified child safety gear, easy-access swim platforms, and custom itineraries paced perfectly for all generations.

Question 7

What type of boat is best for a weekly charter?

Accepted Answer

For a weekly charter in Cabo San Lucas, luxury yachts offer maximum speed and sophisticated onboard amenities, while catamarans offer the ultimate balance of space, stability, and shallow-draft privacy. Multi-hull layouts provide expansive living spaces and large cabins, making them superior to monohulls for extended group or family vacations. Simply align your final selection with your party's size, budget, and specific itinerary goals.

Question 8

Can we choose the itinerary for a weekly charter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, complete itinerary flexibility is one of the premier benefits of a weekly charter around Cabo San Lucas. Your dedicated captain handles all technical routing, including monitoring weather patterns and distance limits to ensure a safe, flawless journey. This allows your party to relax while collaborating directly with the crew to design a custom schedule filled with preferred swim stops, luxury dining, secluded beaches, and protected overnight bays tailored to your target budget and style.

Question 9

Do weekly boat charters require a security deposit?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Mostly, the refundable security deposits are standard for weekly bareboat rentals in Cabo San Lucas to safeguard the vessel against potential hull damage, inventory loss, or insurance deductibles. For fully crewed luxury yacht charters, this requirement is typically replaced by comprehensive corporate marine insurance or integrated directly into different operational payment structures; please feel free to check with us to ensure complete financial transparency.

Question 10

When should we book a weekly yacht charter?

Accepted Answer

Planning your weekly booking window around Cabo San Lucas depends strictly on your target season:
- Peak Season (Summer & Major Holidays): Secure your vessel 6 to 8 months ahead. Elite catamarans and top-tier crewed charters face heavy inventory deficits and sell out quickly.
- Shoulder Season: Booking 2 to 4 months prior provides excellent fleet availability and flexible layout choices to match your group size and budget.
