Snorkeling in Cabo San Lucas waters is the activity for everybody. The Pacific Ocean is rich in marine life like very few in this world. Enjoy spectacular views of the arch and see some of the best bays of Baja California Sur region. Guided by a professional PADI instructor, relax while spending a nice day out in the Ocean.
Choose between the 4 and 2 hours option, both tours will show you the most famous landmarks of Cabo, the 4 hour tour will take you to some of the most beautiful bays in the Corridor: Santa Maria and Chileno. The 2 hour focus is more on the local Marine Park and includes snorkeling in our best spot.

Great Snorkeling

I booked with Cabo Trek for the whale shark and group snorkel 3 months in advance of our travel date and received confirmation right away. If you book more than one excursion, you can get 10% off the 2nd one. So if you have a couple in mind, it makes sense to book the cheaper one first. Unfortunately due to global warming, the whale sharks are migrating later and later every year. Our whale shark excursion had to be canceled 2 days before we departed for our trip. Cabo Trek will only do the whale shark excursion only if sightings are guaranteed and they were quick to refund our money right away.
We were still able to do the group snorkeling tour with Andrea. Our party of 4 ended up having a private experience since no one else signed up that day. Andrea and the boat driver took us to see the "Arch" and the local Sea Lion colony, Lover's Beach, and Divorce Beach.
We stopped at Pelican Rock for about an hour of snorkeling. I would recommend the 8am tour because as we left this area it was totally packed with boats and tourists. We were able to snorkel with some sea lions and lotsa fish. I was surprised how clear the water was in this area. It's too bad the water also got a bit rough and I got sea sick so I had to get back onto the boat. Andrea also took pictures and videos throughout the excursion. She showed everything to us and when we got back to the Cabo Trek office. We decided to purchase all for $50 and it was totally worth it. We hope to come back to Cabo and do the whale shark experience next time.

Absolutely loved our afternoon tour with Andrea and Freddy! We would definitely do this again! They went out of their way to ensure that we got to see multiple whale sightings, dolphins, got to watch the sea lion shenanigans and swam with many amazing fish! Drinks and snacks were great too. They were both wonderful, and I would highly recommend!

Originally we planned to do the Whale Shark tour but unfortunately the migration timing was such that Cabo Trek had to cancel due. Obviously this is not on them and we actually appreciate the efforts the tour operators, government, etc. take to protect the habitat of the whale sharks. But still a bummer. When they contacted us to cancel we were offered a full refund or a list of options we could do. We chose to do a snorkel trip. All communication with staff while dealing with the change was great.

He was fantastic and even took some go pro video of us and shared it so we could have some great footage of our experience.
We saw turtles, rays and tons of fish and coral reefs. Highly recommend! We will be back for the whale shark swim and when we do we will not hesitate to go with Cabo Trek.

If you find yourself in Cabo looking to get on the water or in the water you won't go wrong booking a trip with Cabo Trek. I booked a 4-hour snorkeling trip for my wife and son and it did not disappoint. Our guide Vanuza met us at the office she packed up the equipment we needed and then lead us to the boat where we meet our captain Fredy. Vanuza was very knowledgeable about the area and wildlife. On the way out to the first site, we found an injured Sea lion with a fishing line around its neck and she took pictures so she could report it to a local group that will try to help the animal. As we continued on our way Fredy and Vanuza spotted three Humpback whales. We weren't expecting to see whales and we were just as excited to see them as Fredy and Vanuza were. Instead of speeding off once we saw them, we stayed until they resurfaced less than 100 feet behind us. Fredy turned the boat around and we followed them at a safe distance until they dove again. If this was the whole trip we would've counted it a successful trip. Once we made it to our first site at Chileno Bay we were in the water within minutes. Vanuza was in the water with us and guided us for about an hour exploring the beautiful waters, even though we didn't find a reef shark Vanuza worked hard looking for one. Once back in the boat Vanuza gave us options for our second site. On the way, I spotted the whales again pretty far in the distance, and Fredy turned the boat and had us there within minutes for a third and fourth look at them then we were back on our way to our second site. Once there it was a little busy as it is close to the beach that is easily accessed by water taxi. It was still a good time and we had Sea lions swimming with us which was a new experience. There were a lot of other boats but Fredy maneuvered us into a great spot and made sure we were safe from the other boats while exiting and entering the water. It was a great day and I couldn't have asked for a better captain than Fredy and our guide Vanuza. I love to support good local companies and guides when traveling and Cabo Trek is one of these companies. They are easy to communicate with, the booking process was easy and I received several emails with detailed directions and meeting locations. Next time we are in Cabo I will definitely book another trip with them.

Our tour guide Vanuza was amazing! She was lots of fun and very knowledgeable. We got to see lots of wildlife including sea lions and sea turtles. The only thing I would say is I thought it would be a little more colorful. Overall great experience!
