More fun than Scuba diving

The trip was great. The crew was very friendly and knowledgeable, they looked like they were also having a good time on the trip. As in fishing you never know what if anything will show up. We were told this from the beginning and went in with that mindset. On our way out to the snorkeling spot the captain spotted Humpback whales on the surface. The captain slowed the boat and we spent ten minutes watching the whales which was nice. At the snorkeling spot the crew was very professional. They had all the correct gear to chum for sharks. We were lucky in that it took less than five minutes before we had a shark at the boat. We didn't have much time for a briefing, Nik our guide quickly explained some safety features and overboard we went. We spent the next 45 minutes with a five foot, female Blue Shark swimming around us and the chum lines. After 45 minutes she disappeared without having eaten a thing. We got back on the boat where Nik explained some of the biology of the shark. Ten minutes later the captain alerted us to another shark. We quickly got back in the water to find the same shark had returned only this time she was less timid. She seemed to take her interest off the chum crate and turned it on the fish head on the line. She began to feed on the fish head. After another 20 minutes she was satiated and left. We got back on the boat and went back home. Upon entering the harbor an adult male Sea Lion jumped up on the back of the boat attracted by the smell of fish. It felt like he just popped up out of the water and joined in on our group conversation. He stayed on the back of the boat for about a minute looking for fish. We could've of reached out and touched him if we wanted to.
We chose to take the trip as it was our last day in Cabo and for safety reasons you cannot scuba dive a day before you fly. The Shark trip was more fun than the Scuba diving was.

A gamble that paid off

The crew worked hard to get us on the sharks, but to no avail. They did however get us snorkeling with a pod of dolphins, way out in the ocean blue. it was epic. Our guide Nick provided a great education, Victor our chum~master, great laughs and the captain an enjoyable and safe ride. We were afforded a great sunset upon our finish. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Isn’t that the saying? Don’t be one of those dopes in the glass bottom boat and bright orange life vest toolin’ around looking for a whale. Just go for it. And don’t forget to tip the crew.

The most amazing experience in my life!! I was there with Miguel, he really knows where, when and how you are gonna enjoy the experience!! All the time he is looking how to enjoy and feel Safe . We could see silky and mako sharks, dolphins and a jump back whale with the calf. This is an experience that I will repeat with the muguel and his team!!!
